What causes cancer?
The newer developing belief is that cancer is a metabolic disease, an error of metabolism. And with this belief, it opens up a much larger world of potential causes. In the functional medicine model, we attempt to uncover the cause or multiple causes for developing cancer. This can range from toxic exposures, poorly managed diabetes, poor diet, chronic stress, genetic predisposition, and more.

There is much more to consider in cancer than genetic testing and tumor markers. While these are helpful in tracking the progression of disease, it is only a fraction of the picture. We have an extensive panel of biochemical markers to assess overall metabolic health, inflammation, and more. This information gives us a better understanding of how we can support you in your journey back to health.
Galleri testing also offered. Galleri, the first-of-its-kind multi-cancer early detection test that looks for a signal shared by 50+ types of cancer with a single blood test. It screens for a signal shared by multiple cancers that would otherwise go unnoticed. If a cancer signal is detected, Galleri predicts the tissue type or organ associated with the cancer signal with 88% accuracy* to help guide follow-up diagnostic testing which may include lab work or imaging to confirm cancer. Galleri is not currently covered by insurance.

Each person and each cancer is different. There is no one size fits all approach to cancer here! We work to optimize markers found in your blood work, as well as utilize nutraceuticals, diet, lifestyle, repurposed drugs, and IV therapies to help bring the body back to balance. We are able to tailor a plan that is safe with or without conventional treatment, based on the wishes of the patient. We also offer post cancer care to work with your body to help prevent recurrence.
